1H-TOXRUN Ethics and Research Integrity Office (TERIO)

Supervisor

Overview

Pondering that:

1. The ethical dimension of scientific research projects is a predominant factor for favorable evaluation by European institutions and the speedy signing of contracts between host institutions and funding institutions;

2. In Portugal, there are a few structures that can monitor and develop this component of their international projects with researchers;

3. Portugal is one of the European countries where the fewest clinical trials are carried out and the slowness of the necessary ethical approvals is highlighted as one of the main factors contributing to this number;

4. The experience accumulated through participation in European assessments will enable the preparation of documents to be carried out effectively and quickly;

1H-TOXRUN provides TERIO, which offers researchers, other Research Centers, and promoters of clinical trials in the Biomedical, Health, Biology in general, and Human and Social Sciences areas, companies, and hospitals a dedicated Consulting Service to the development of analyses, consultancy, and ethical monitoring of scientific research projects and clinical trials.
