Ana Emanuela Lima

Ana Emanuela Cisne de Lima is pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University Institute of Health Sciences - CESPU, with a focus on cancer, toxicology, and pharmacology. With a strong background in dentistry and oral rehabilitation, she completed her MSc degree in Oral Rehabilitation at the University of São Paulo (USP) in 2021, where she conducted research on the properties of CAD/CAM ceramic systems and the effects of specialized denture brushes on acrylic resin. Ana’s research expertise spans prosthetics, denture materials, and patient-centered clinical care. Previously, she worked as a post-graduate clinical instructor, providing hands-on mentorship in prosthodontics and health-related education programs in Brazil. She has also served as an Ad-Hoc reviewer for the Journal of Public Health of Ceará and contributed to various publications, including a systematic review on CAD/CAM versus conventional dentures. Her significant research contributions include: (1) examining mechanical properties in prosthodontic materials; (2) investigating denture care methodologies; and (3) analyzing dental hygiene impacts on patient quality of life. Ana is now recognized for her work in prosthodontics and dental materials, participating as a reviewer in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting her findings at major conferences like the IADR/AADR General Session. She is currently expanding her research to encompass cancer and pharmacology, exploring toxicological impacts in oral health, with particular emphasis on cancer biomarkers, tumor behavior, and therapeutic responses. Ana has mentored several students in clinical and technical dental practices, guiding them in research and practical applications in the field.
