The 1H-TOXRUN aims to reinforce research activity and the technological development in the field of Toxicology at IUCS.
The 1H-TOXRUN develops its activities by establishing a link between three key areas of its mission: postgraduate education and training, community outreach activities and scientific research.
Our main mission is to study chemical, biological and toxicological mechanisms of biologically active molecules, and develop analytical methods for analysis of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, psychoactive substances, and other xenobiotics and endobiotics.
Research activities also include the screening for old and new synthetic compounds with therapeutic potential (i.e., dermatological) and elucidation of their preclinical and clinical mechanisms of activity.
The assessment of ecotoxicological effects on aquatic species of xenobiotics is a major focus of 1H-TOXRUN.
