Sónia Vilar Gomes de Sá graduate in Zootechnical Engineering, Integrated Masters in Veterinary Medicine and a PhD in Veterinary Sciences. She has been developing clinical activity with a particular focus on the control and mitigation of zoonotic diseases. Her main interests are centred on the epidemiology and control of infectious diseases with an impact on Public Health, with a special focus on the sylvatic and domestic animal reservoirs for diseases with an impact on animal and human health, particularly on the vectorial transmission of filariasis.
