Ana Rita Sousa-Santos is a BSc in Nutritional Sciences and PhD in Clinical Nutrition. Her research interests include geriatrics and nutritional status assessment with a focus on several health conditions such as sarcopenia, frailty, undernutrition status, vitamin D deficiency, and obesity. Furthermore, it also includes areas such as evaluation of body composition using anthropometric measures, BIA and DXA, and physical function assessment, namely evaluation of muscle strength and physical performance by handgrip strength and gait speed tests. She is also an Invited Assistant at FCNAUP (Faculdade de Ciências da Nutrição e Alimentação da Universidade do Porto) and CESPU (Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário, CRL).
